We report a case of penetrating intrapericardial injury caused by an air
gun pellet in which the onset of dysrhythmia suggested that the pericardium
had been breached. Electrocardiographic changes appeared to be more useful
in diagnosing pericardial penetration than transthoracic echocardiogram in
this case.
