This report describes a rupture of a calcified left ventricular aneurysm 10
years after initial infarction. Operation 10 days after rupture was
complicated by extensive ventricular calcification, in particular, the
ventricular septum. Repair was achieved by endocardial resection of
calcium, preservation of the myocardium and linear approximation.
