Adrenal insufficiency due to bilateral metastases from oat cell carcinoma of the oesophagus

Extrapulmonary oat cell carcinoma has been reported in many organs, the
oesophagus being the most common location. We report a case of adrenal
insufficiency due to extensive metastatic deposits from oat cell carcinoma
of the oesophagus in a patient following cardioesophagectomy.
