Simplification of the Bentall procedure with surgical and biological innovations

Most of the technical problem encountered during aortic root replacement may be avoided by the use of fine mattress sutures, gelatin resorcinal formaldehyde (GRF) glue and pre-clotted or bovine collagen grafts in patients whose platelet function is preserved by the intra- operative administration of aprotinin.
