Surgical repair of pseudo-aneurysm arising from a true chronic aneurysm of the left ventricular lateral wall

Left ventricular aneurysm of the lateral wall is extremely rare. In our case it was followed by a complete rupture of the wall with formation of a pseudo-aneurysm. This evolution of a chronic left ventricular aneurysm is only seldom described.
