Cavernous hemangioma of the heart

An 80-year-old woman presented with new onset atrial fibrillation. Preoperative studies demonstrated a huge mass within a dilated right atrium and moderate tricuspid regurgitation (Fig. 1a,b)
.
A tumor (8x6 cm), which originated from the interatrial septum, was excised (Figs. 1 and 2)
. Histology confirmed completely resected rare cavernous hemangioma. Postoperative course was uneventful and there was no evidence of recurrence at 1 year follow-up.
