Repair of truncus arteriosus

When commenting on the paper of Danton and colleagues concerning surgical repair of the common arterial trunk, I pointed out that their optimal procedure was first described by the late Kenneth Reid [1]. They indicated in the discussion that they would modify this manuscript accordingly. Sadly, they did not [2].

That does not, however, detract from Mr Reid's precedence with this particular procedure.
