Key Words: Hydatid cyst Pulmonary Surgery
A 8-year-old boy was admitted to our clinic with diagnosis bilateral multiple pulmonary hydatid cysts caused by Echinococcus granulosis (Fig. 1)
. Seven right and six left cysts were found in the operation. We performed cystotomy and capitonage to all cysts via right and left thoracotomy in 10-day interval. The postoperative course was uneventful. The patient received chemotherapy with albendazole 10 mg/kg per day for 2 months and was discharged on the 16th postoperative day and was doing well at his 8-month follow-up.
