Sternal sinus 17 years after a Bentall procedure

A 35-year old woman with a Bentall procedure 17 years previously, was addressed for repeated bleeding from a sternal sinus.
Fistulography showed contrast material around the crimped prosthesis (Fig. 1)

Homograft replacement of her composite prosthesis was performed. The postoperative course was uneventful. She is well and without recurrence 24 months later.
