Saccular aneurysm of the left sinus of Valsalva in a Freestyle® bioprosthesis

A 62-year-old male presented with chest pain 3 years following Freestyle® bioprosthetic aortic root replacement for streptococcal endocarditis. MRI showed saccular aneurysm of left neo-sinus of Valsalva (Fig. 1
), compressing left main stem. Entrance of aneurysm was closed using patch of bovine pericardium, ensuring that valve morphology was not distorted (Fig. 2
).
