Unusual pancreas hernia

A 57-year-old male underwent a left radical pleuropneumonectomy for mesothelioma. A pancreas tail hernia into a left thoracic intercostal defect was demonstrated on CT (Figs. 1 and 2
). He was treated conservatively and remains asymptomatic except intermittent chest pains.
