Calcified submitral aneurysm

Transthoracic echocardiogram of a 56-year-old lady revealed submitral aneurysm with severe mitral regurgitation. Chest roentgenogram (Fig. 1a) and computerised tomography (Fig. 1b) demonstrated the calcification of aneurysm. She underwent a successful mitral valve replacement with Dacron patch exclusion of aneurysm through endoventricular route (Fig. 2
).
