The authors regret that there was an error in the Results section. This occurred on page 630, in the first paragraph, line 13 of the Results section. The correct sentence is printed below.

Cardiac index (CI), stroke volume (SV), mixed venous oxygen saturation (SvO2), coronary arteries perfusion pressure (DAP-PCWP) and LVEF increased whereas BNP decreased significantly after the infusion of LS, in both groups.
