Description
The European Journal of Cardio-thoracic Surgery (EJCTS) provides a medium for the publication of high-quality original scientific reports documenting clinical and experimental advances in surgery of the heart, the great vessels and the chest.

EJCTS welcomes original articles, editorials, case reports, how-to-do-it reports, literature reviews, images in cardio-thoracic surgery, and letters to the editor (about previous EJCTS publications only). Papers are subjected to peer review by both the Editorial Board and invited reviewers.

EJCTS is supported by a number of leading European societies. Membership to the European Association for Cardio-thoracic Surgery and the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons includes a subscription to the Journal. Selected papers from the annual meetings of the European Association for Cardio-thoracic Surgery and the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons are printed in EJCTS.

EJCTS on-line is open to subscribers. However, selected articles, the tables of contents, all abstracts, editorials, images papers, correspondence, and full text searching are all open-access.
